Studio students are devoted to the violin, dedicated to achieving excellence in their playing, and excited about tackling the great works of violin literature. Acceptance to the studio is by audition only.

Teaching Statement: Vibrant playing starts with clean technique. Thus I am exacting in what I expect of students in terms of detailed daily practice and establishing a foundation of left hand and bowing skills and intonation and rhythmic accuracy. Together the student and I work to create a beautiful tone and to bring out the unique voice of each piece, so that the music is engaging to play and listen to. Students develop performance confidence and style by taking advantage of recitals, competitions, auditions and graded exams that are available to them throughout the year.
